Little, Brown has promoted Celeste Ward-Best to marketing director across the group, a movement from her previous role as marketing director for literary. This follows Alex Cooper’s move to head up the new central marketing function at Hachette UK.
Ward-Best will report to Tamsin Kitson, group publicity and marketing director.
Ward-Best has spent five years at Little, Brown and in her time won a Book Marketing Society award for her campaign for Love Marriage by Monica Ali and was Highly Commended for Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer. Love Marriage was also shortlisted for the British Book Awards Marketing Strategy of the Year, and Celeste was a winner of the Futurebook Best Team Award for Feminist Book Box, which she co-founded. Prior to working at Little, Brown, she was marketing director at Canongate.
In addition, Grace Vincent has been promoted to literary campaigns director, moving from her previous role as deputy publicity director for literary. This newly created role will sit across marketing and publicity and is designed to provide senior support and leadership on both teams. Vincent will jointly report to Ward-Brown and Kirsteen Astor (publicity director for Little, Brown).
