Chris Hoy and Katarina Johnson-Thompson have been shortlisted for the Charles Tyrwhitt Sports Book Awards. All 12 category shortlists have been revealed for the award show’s 23rd iteration.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 1st May at the Kia Oval in south London. The award show will be hosted by ITV Sports presenter Mark Pougatch.
He said: “As ever, it’s a wonderful shortlist for 2025, and I’m really looking forward to hosting the awards again. It’s also been a real pleasure to be part of the judging panel for the Best Sports Writing category.”
The public is also able to have its say in three of the categories: the Charles Tyrwhitt Autobiography of the Year, Sports Entertainment Book of the Year, and Sports Performance Book of the Year.
Johnson-Thompson, who won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, is featured in the Best Autobiography section, alongside Hoy and other sporting stars. She said: “It is an honour to be shortlisted for Best Autobiography at the Sports Book Awards 2025 alongside so many great personalities. Writing this book was a deeply personal journey; reflecting on the highs, lows, and everything in between.”

He said: “I’m delighted to be nominated in the Best Autobiography category alongside some real sporting greats, and I would like to thank [co-author] Felix White, my family and my friends for helping to make my journey so unforgettable and my book such a success.”
