Joffe Books has hired Rob Power as marketing director. Power joins from Bonnier Books UK, where he began as marketing and PR director for the Children’s division before being promoted to trade marketing director, overseeing both Children’s and Adult marketing.
In his new role at Joffe Books, Power will report to managing director Emilie Marneur, while head of marketing Hanna Myers and the wider marketing team will report to him.
Marneur said: “Rob’s energy, agility and entrepreneurial mindset, combined with his unwavering focus on readers, make him the ideal person to lead our talented and passionate marketing team. We have ambitious plans for the future, building on the incredible success Jasper and the team have achieved over the past decade. With our commitment to supporting authors, engaging readers and embracing innovation, I can’t think of a better person to join us on this journey.”
Power said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be joining Jasper, Emilie and the Joffe team at a tremendously exciting point in the company’s evolution. Emilie and I worked closely together at Bonnier and she’s one of my favourite people in the industry – safe to say I jumped at the chance to join her at Joffe! Of course, it helps that I’m a long-term admirer of Jasper, his vision for how a modern publisher can operate, and the incredible list he’s built over the last decade. I can’t wait to get to work!“
